Mozzarella Cheese in Carrozza


  • 200 g. mozzarella cheese block
  • 12 cups Healthy Chef Soybean oil
  • 2 Slices sandwich bread
  • 1-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • ** salt and pepper to taste


  1. Prepare mozzarella cheese by cutting cheese block into thick slices, equal size to sliced bread.  Make a sandwich by place sliced mozzarella cheese between 2 slices of bread, and press down to compact.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and season with salt and pepper**.   Dip the sandwich into the egg mixture and bread crumbs set aside for 1 minute.  Heat a deep frying pan with Healthy Chef Soybean Oil over medium-high heat.  Once the oil is hot, carefully place sandwich into oil and fry each sides until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  3. Cut each sandwich in 1/2 and serve while still hot.
