Steamed Chives Dumplings

Ingredients

  • Ingredients to make the filling:
  • 2 tablespoons of fried garlic
  • 400 grams of Chinese chives (chopped finely ½ cm)
  • ½ teaspoon of baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of white soy sauce
  • Ingredients to make the dumplings:
  • 1 ½ cups of Tapioca flour
  • 1 ½ cups of Glutinous rice flour
  • 1 cup of rice flour
  • 2 cups of water
  • ¼ cup of Healthy Chef Cooking Oil

Method

Direction to make the filling:
  1. Mix all ingredients together and set aside for 30 minutes. 
  2. Take the water from the Chinese chives out from the bowl.

** Baking soda is helping the color of Chinese Chives still green when steaming.

Directions to make the dumplings:
  1. Mix 3 types of flour into the bowl with water, stir well.
  2. Bring all ingredient to stir until the flour is sifted from the pan with low heat.
  3. Pour cooking oil into the pan. 
  4. Knead all ingredients while is still heating by using spatula to help until the cooking oil absorbed into the dough.
  5. Roll the dough into thin sheet and cut into round shape for about 50 pcs (diameter is 7.5 cm)
  6. Put the filling inside this round sheet and wrap it.
  7. Steam with high heat for 5-7 minutes. 
  8. Serve with fried garlic.
