Turkish Borek Flatbread


  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 250 mm of water
  • 125 g. of unsweet butter
  • ¼ cup of onion
  • 1 tbsp of shallot
  • ¼ tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of MSG
  • ¼ cup of Healthy Chef Cooking Oil for fried


  1. Mix flour, salt, water and cooking oil in a large bowl. Knead all the ingredient until turn to a smooth dough. Set aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Cut the dough into small 5-6 pieces. Set aside for 30 minutes. 
  3. Heat the pan with Healthy Chef cooking oil with medium heat. Stir onion, shallot, salt and MSG until a good smell. Set aside.
  4. Knead the small pieces of 5-6 doughs into a square shape.
  5. Add the onion filling into the dough. Kneading for a minute.
  6. Heat the pan and fried the dough until turn to yellow color. 
  7. Ready to serve.
