Chinese fried dough bun

Ingredients

  • All purpose flour 20 g
  • Water 180 g
  • Yeat 1.5 g
  • Sugar 35 g
  • Salt ΒΌ tsp
  • Cooking Oil 10 g
  • 1 egg
  • Cooking oil for deep fry 3-4 cups

Method

  1. Mix all purpose flour with baking powder. Stir all together in a mixing bowl, add yeast, and set aside for a while
  2. Mix the wet ingredients into the bowl. Stir all mixed well and set aside
  3. Add wet ingredients into the dry ingredient bowl, add cooking oil and knead the dough until is turn smooth
  4. Cover the bowl with wet cloth (to prevent the dough is getting dry) for 6 hours
  5. Take the dough out and cut into shape as you like as in a round shape. Squeeze the small dough into a flat shape
  6. Heat the wok with medium to high heat to deep fry the dough. Deep fry dough until turn yellow or golden color
  7. Set aside to drain the cooking oil. Ready to serve
